Base line and End line Assessment

The project focused on  addressing the WASH, , and  Food Security and Livelihood needs of IDPs, returnees and host communities through different activities including Cash for Work and Multipurpose cash transfer . It highlights the intended and unintended results caused as a result of the project interventions. The control group was used for comparison purposes to estimate the degree of achievements of the project due to absence of baseline data.

Evaluation Findings

The findings are structured in accordance with the key evaluation questions (DAC criteria) of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability, challenges faced during program implementation, lessons learnt and recommendations for future programming.

Project Relevancy

The Afghanistan Joint Response 2019(AFJR2019) Project was found to be relevant to different stakeholders, for example, UN support for IDPs, government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Oxfam and donor, all of which aim at improving the lives of vulnerable people by building sustainable livelihoods. Nearly all the beneficiaries (WASH, CFW, MPC, Food Security and Livelihood) acknowledged the program to have addressed their priority needs.
